Repair The World

Tikun Olam translates to “Repair The World” in Hebrew, connecting us to our humble roots in Israel and reminding us of our mission.

OUR MISSION

Tikun Olam fulfills its mission to “Repair the World” by delivering quality cannabis products shown to be efficacious in treating a variety of ailments and improving well-being.

OUR STORY

In 2005, braving considerable legal risk, Tikun Olam began openly cultivating and freely distributing cannabis to individual sufferers, many of them veteran soldiers who, in turn, volunteered to help others. The frequent phenomenon of uniformed men, alongside elderly cancer sufferers in wheelchairs queuing in front of the home of Tikun Olam’s founder to receive medicine, contributed to a growing grassroots demand in Israeli society for cannabis liberalization. In 2007, Tikun Olam was granted the world’s first government-licensed medical cannabis operation, approved to cultivate and dispense cannabis directly to its patients.

Tikun Olam was soon working with doctors and nurses to care for over 3,000 patients. By learning each patient’s needs and how each cannabis strain was ameliorating their symptoms, Tikun was able to understand which strains were most effective against specific symptoms and began cultivating accordingly. This soon influenced and boosted collaboration among the pioneers of cannabis science, including the late Dr. Raphael Mechoulam (the first scientist to isolate the THC molecule), and others, such as Professors Ruth Gallily and Zvi Bentwich.

The strains used by Tikun USA are the same tested in the world’s first randomized, double-blind cannabis clinical studies and have been featured in more than 20 peer-reviewed academic journals. Tikun’s commitment to science and research and formulating innovative symptom treatments have solidified its global reputation as the go-to source for medical cannabis practitioners and patients.

OUR PARTNERS

Tikun has operations worldwide: the U.S., Canada, Europe (Greece), Israel, & Australia.

Featured on CNN

Many Americans were introduced to the potential of medical cannabis ten years ago when Dr. Sanjay Gupta’s documentary, “Weed”, was broadcast on CNN. Dr. Gupta revisited the subject in this episode of Anderson Cooper’s primetime show. In both 2013 and 2023, Tikun was at the heart of a story about helping humans live better quality lives.
